To be announced

Only graduate students, postdoctoral fellows (within 5 years of terminal degree) and junior faculty (within 10 years of terminal degree) are eligible to apply - from all countries; there are no geographic restrictions.

What the award covers

The funding level of these awards is intended to cover most expenses associated with attending the conference; such as hotel, travel costs, meeting registration fee, AOPT membership fee. A recipient is expected to make (and pay for) their own arrangements.

To receive these funds (after the conference), all travel grant recipients must provide travel receipts, provide documentation that they are staying at the conference hotel, and have paid the registration fee. Details on how to submit the documentation will be provided to the award winners.

Travel award winners are required to sign up for AOPT membership (Associate (students, postdocs) or Regular (junior faculty and anyone who wishes to take advantage of Regular member benefits) and register for the conference upon notification that they have won one of the awards.

If a travel grant application is rejected but the applicant wishes to participate in the conference at their own expense, they must resubmit their abstract on the abstract submission page.
