This site offers information about our organization for both prospective and current member. AOPT is a unique organization, and we welcome members from all disciplines relevant to ocular pharmacology and its therapeutic applications.
Our purpose is to encourage and advocate research, training, publication, and dissemination of knowledge in ocular pharmacology and therapeutics. We accomplish this task in various ways, including our meetings, which are held every two years. Previous meeting locations include Kona, Hawaii (2003); Catania, Italy (2005) and most recently, San Diego, California (2007). Our next meeting will be held in Salzburg, Austria in February of 2009.
We also uphold our mission through our publication, Journal of Ocular Pharmacology and Therapeutics. For information on publishing in this journal or to subscribe, please click here.
AOPT's members include principal investigators, scientists, medical professionals, technicians and students with an interest in ocular pharmacology and therapeutics.
