This site offers information about our organization for both prospective and current members. AOPT is a unique organization, and we welcome members from all disciplines relevant to ocular pharmacology and its therapeutic applications.
Our purpose is to encourage and advocate research, training, publication, and dissemination of knowledge in ocular pharmacology and therapeutics. We accomplish this task in various ways, including our meetings, which are held every two years. Previous meeting locations include Kona, Hawaii (2003); Catania, Italy (2005), San Diego, California (2007), Salzburg, Austria (2009) and Ft. Worth Texas (2011).
We also uphold our mission through our publication, Journal of Ocular Pharmacology and Therapeutics. For information on publishing in this journal or to subscribe, please click here.
AOPT's members include principal investigators, scientists, medical professionals, technicians and students with an interest in ocular pharmacology and therapeutics. For further information on our current members or to become a member yourself, please refer to the "Membership" tab located on the top of this page. Mark your calendars. The next AOPT meeting will be held in Alicante, Spain on February 7 - 10, 2013 at the Hotel Spa Porta Maris.
